Maggie (my sister in law) brings these for the holidays. So good she brings me my own stash!!! I don’t share these well…..
- 16 oz. Pecans
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg white
- 1 Tbsp cold water
Mix well in bowl: sugar, salt and cinnamon, set aside.
Beat egg white and cold water until peaks form. Add pecans to the egg white mixture and mix well.
Add sugar mixture to the pecans/egg white mixture and mix well.
Spread the coated pecans on a buttered cookie sheet or parchment paper and bake at 250 ° for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes for even browning, separating pecans that are stuck together.
Let cool slightly and separate remaining pecans that are stuck together.
